Alma Cardoso studied a Master Degree in Aesthetics and Contemporary Art Theory at Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, and the BA in Art History at Centro de Cultura Casa Lamm in Mexico City, also, has coursed different programs related with the cultural management.
She works as curator, researcher and professor. Among her recent projects stands out the individual exhibition of the Puerto Rican artist Melvin Martinez entitled Mucho Gusto at Casa Maauad (2013), the collective show Pintura Real. Technique and Poetic in the Contemporary Mexican Painting at Galería Joaquin Clausell (2012), and the first solo exhibition in Mexico of Pipilotti Rist Las estructuras de lo aparente at Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros (2010).
Cardoso has collaborated with the Coordination of Exhibitions Department at the Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City for the following shows: Frida Kahlo 1907-2007 National Hommage; Diego Rivera. Mural Epopee; Gabriel Figueroa; José Luis Cuevas; Antonieta Rivas Mercado, among others. Cardoso is also experienced in the editorial field, coordinating several art catalogues for museum exhibitions and publishing essays for a variety of journals and magazines specialized in arts.

Currently, she imparts the classes of Museography and Art Critic at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla.
