Martí Perán

Martí Perán is a tenured lecturer of Art Theory at the Universidad de Barcelona. He has contributed to many books and catalogues around contemporary art. Martí also often collaborates with the press and specialized magazines. He was a member of the editorial board of “Transversal. Revista de Cultura Contemporánea” (1996-2002). Co-editor of the magazine “Roulotte”. Collaborator of magazines “Exit Express” and “Artforum International”. He has led workshops and seminars around curatorial critics and practices. He has imparted conferences in several museums and institutions MACBA,Barcelona; MNCARS,Madrid;USP,Sao Paulo; Trienale,Milano; CCEBA,Buenos Aires; Townhouse,Cairo; Contemporary Art Center; Larissa; NYU, New York; Art Beijing...). As a curator of exhibitions, noteworthy recent projects include “Arquitecturas para el acontecimiento” (EACC, Castellón, 2002); “Stand by.Listos para actuar” (Laboratorio Alameda, Mexico City, 2003); “Corner” (Cajamadrid. Barcelona 2004-2005); “Mira como se mueven.4 ideas sobre movilidad” (Fundación Telefónica,Madrid, 2005), “Glaskultur. ¿Qué pasó con la transparencia?” (Koldo Mitxelena. San Sebastián, 2006), "Post-it city. Occasional Cities" (CCCB,Barcelona,2008; MAC Santiago de Chile, Centro Cultural Sao Paulo, 2009); "After Architecture" (Arts Santa Mònica. Barcelona,2009). He is the director of “Roundabout. Encounter Program”, a program about international exchange between Barcelona and other cities (Bangkok, Jerusalem, Reikiavik, Istanbul, Santiago de Chile,…). He has participated in numerous publications and encounters about art and public space (Going Public 2005 and 2006) and forms part of the Master group “Metrópolis” (UPB/CCCB). 1998-2009).
