Studied Philosophy in Barcelona, Frankfurt and Constance. He also was a DAAD and Humboldt scholarship holder. His first faculty position was in the Department of Theory and Composition of the ETS of Architecture of Barcelona and now is Full Professor in Aesthetics and Art Theory at the Philosophy Department of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He is author of several books as El desorden estético (The Aesthetical Disorder, 2000), Las razones del arte (The Reasons of Art, 2005), Desartización (Deartification, 2010) and Precariedad, arte y política (Precariousness, Art and Politics, forthcoming).
